"Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful
or proud or rude."
Nope, I am not bitter. Daddy R greeted me privately earlier this day and I don't really care if that's all I get. I know he loves me, and I love him. That's enough for me. Besides, I've experienced what it feels like when someone showered you with gifts. My ex bf used to give me flowers, chocolates, and even my guitar. It gives me affirmation that I am LOVED. That I am SPECIAL. I have nothing against to all the SWEET guys out there. I'm just saying that sincerity and faithfulness are what I prefer more. Because fyi, that man I was talking about broke my heart in the end.
"Love does not demand its own way."
Long distance love affair. It's never easy. I maybe immune to the longing and sadness by now but that didn't lessen my love for him. I would always remember the last night we spent before he leaves to US. We were resting in the hotel room, Riley in the middle of us. I was crying silently. I don't want to bother Daddy with my whining. Then I heard a sniff. For the first time in my life, I've never been moved as much as seeing a man cries. I felt the agony in his voice while we were talking. It's hard when someone left you but its harder when you are the one leaving. At least, I have Riley by my side. I could make Daddy stay here for good. But that would mean clipping his wings to dreams. Love is not selfish.
"Love never gives up,
never loses faith,
is always hopeful,
and endures through every circumstance."
Whenever, we chat or talk, it feels like yesterday. We seldom talk but I don't mind. I trust him. I want him to feel that he is in no obligation to talk to me everyday. I mean he also has his own life and I want him to enjoy life as well. I am not giving up. I am not losing faith. Soon enough we'll see each other again. Distance is just a test to see how far love can travel. Ayt? Ayt!
"There are three things that will endure
--faith, hope, and love--
and the greatest of these is love."
Hey, I am not implying I have a perfect love story. Believe me, I am soooo far from fairy tales. But I appreciate whatever God has given me. For me, the true meaning of love is not the extravagance. Not the presents. Not the flowers. And not a one time event. It should be celebrated everyday. Love is forever. And I wish once and for all, we stop bragging and start caring.
